We Should Cocoa ~ The January Challenge

Happy New Year to you all.  Hope your Christmas was merry and bright and that you saw the New Year in with some style and class and that your head isn't too sore today.  Personally, I was asleep for the bell's [hangs head in shame]!  Must do better next year.

So with the dawning of the New Year and a new century also comes the next challenge for We Should Cocoa.  Many thanks to everyone who managed to find the time to create something in the lead up to Christmas for the December challenge of dates set by Choclette.  If you missed out on the round up please do check it out, there are some very inventive bloggers out there ;0)

It has actually been a pretty tough call trying to finalise this month's challenge, there are so many things to consider; What is in season?  Will people want to make anything too calorie laden?  Is there any point setting a low fat challenge?  In the end it came down to a clear out of my store cupboard and hopefully a challenge that everyone can get something out of.  If you are anything like me, you over bought on certain store cupboard items in the lead up to the feasting period, so this month's challenge is .... surplus stock or leftover's.  Do what you will with the challenge, its pretty much an open one, just make sure you use chocolate and state what your surplus stock was, post your creation on your blog by the 25th of January and send an email with your name, a link to your post and a photo to weshouldcocoa@yahoo.co.uk.  The round up will appear on this blog sometime between the 26th and 31st Jan.
